In response to the growing need for mental health support in the wake of hurricanes and other traumatic events, FISH of Sanibel-Captiva continues to offer Mental Health Wednesdays. This important initiative is designed to address issues related to PTSD, trauma, loss, and stress that many islanders are experiencing. Led by community partner SalusCare and mental health professional Laura Guarino, MA, LMHC, CBHCMS, these sessions provide a confidential and supportive environment for individuals seeking help.

💡 What to Expect at Mental Health Wednesdays
Mental Health Wednesdays provide a safe space where individuals can meet with licensed mental health counselor Laura Guarino to discuss personal challenges related to trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and loss. The 30-minute sessions are available by appointment and offer focused, one-on-one support. A limited number of walk-in sessions may also be available each Wednesday.
