Mental Health Wednesdays: Support for Sanibel and Captiva Islanders

FISH of Sanibel-Captiva continues its vital initiative, Mental Health Wednesdays, designed to address the ongoing mental health needs of the island communities. In particular, these sessions focus on critical topics like PTSD, trauma, and loss, especially in the aftermath of hurricane-related events. The sessions, led by Laura Guarino, MA, LMHC, CBHCMS from SalusCare, provide a confidential and supportive space for island residents to receive expert care and guidance.

Mental Health Wednesdays take place weekly at Saint Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, offering 30-minute individual sessions from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. While walk-in appointments are occasionally available, it is recommended to schedule in advance by emailing erika@fishofsancap.org. These sessions are designed to offer personalized, compassionate support in a peaceful setting, making mental health care accessible to all.
