Mental Health Wednesdays – Support for Our Community’s Mental Health

FISH of Sanibel-Captiva is proud to continue its commitment to mental health by hosting Mental Health Wednesdays. This initiative is specifically designed to address the mental health needs of our community, especially in the wake of hurricane-related challenges such as PTSD, trauma, and loss.

Why Attend Mental Health Wednesdays?

  1. Professional Guidance: Each session is led by Laura Guarino, MA, LMHC, CBHCMS, a trained professional from SalusCare, ensuring you receive expert support.
  2. Tailored Support: Sessions focus on a variety of topics, including hurricane-related trauma, allowing participants to discuss their experiences in a safe environment.
  3. Flexible Scheduling: Appointments last 30 minutes, making it easy to fit this valuable support into your day.
  4. Walk-in Availability: For those who may not be able to schedule in advance, a limited number of walk-in sessions are available each Wednesday.

How to Participate

  • Schedule Your Session: Appointments must be arranged in advance by emailing erika@fishofsancap.org.
  • Walk-ins Welcome: If you can’t pre-book, feel free to drop by; there are a few slots available for walk-in sessions each week.
