Baby & Toddler Storytime and Playdate at the Sanibel Public Library

Looking for a fun and educational activity for your little one? Join us every Tuesday at the Sanibel Public Library for Baby & Toddler Storytime and Playdate! This recurring program is perfect for children ages 0 to 4 years old, where babies and toddlers can engage in a delightful blend of stories, sensory activities, and playtime, all designed to support early literacy development.

What to Expect

• Interactive Storytime: Start the session with an enchanting storytime where your baby or toddler will enjoy short, engaging stories. These stories are handpicked to foster a love of books and reading from a young age. Storytime is a fantastic way to introduce language, rhythm, and new words to little minds, all while they have fun!
• Sensory Play: Following storytime, your child will explore the world of sensory play. Sensory activities, such as touching different textures or playing with various sensory objects, help stimulate your baby’s senses and contribute to their cognitive and physical development. It’s also a chance for your child to interact with other little ones in a safe and welcoming environment.
• Parental Engagement: Parents and caregivers are essential to this program! Not only do children benefit from the stories and play, but the program encourages caregivers to actively engage with their children, making this a great bonding experience. Please note that drop-offs are not allowed, so be prepared to participate and enjoy the fun with your child.
• Free and Open to All: There’s no registration required, and the event is free! Simply come by with your baby or toddler and enjoy the morning together in the library’s relaxed setting. You can make this a weekly outing, as the program occurs every Tuesday at 10:30 AM.
